A TEENAGER from Swindon has been accused of attempted murder following an incident at the Reading Festival this summer.
Thomas Collis will appear at Reading Crown Court on November 13 for a plea and directions hearing.
The 18-year-old was alleged to have attacked a 38-year-old man in Hatford Road, South-cote, Reading, with a weapon after a heated argument.
The late night incident on August 22 left the victim of Reading with serious head injuries.
Collis, from Bright Street, Gorse Hill, Swindon, will also face a second charge of possessing an offensive weapon.
The attack happened on the first day of the Reading Rock Festival in which hundreds of thousands of revellers descended on the town. The festival was held over three-days during the August bank holiday weekend. The annual event is one of the biggest in the British music calendar.
