DESPITE the scoreline this was a much improved performance by Cooper-Avon in the Intermediate Cup.
They played with far more passion than in the previous two games and the defence was much tighter.
The home side's forwards, with a large weight and height advantage per man, dominated the game and six of their seven tries were scored by them.
Midsomer Norton led 21-0 at half-time with three converted tries, and they increased this early in the second half with another try.
Cooper-Avon then enjoyed their best period in the game when they scored two tries through second row Mick Hurn, who scored from a short penalty, and winger Matt Glover, both converted by Matt Trueman.
Midsomer Norton added another three tries to increase their lead before an injury-time try from flanker Mark Denham gave Cooper-Avon some consolation for their efforts.
