A collection of adult magazines is to be sold by Dominic Winter Book Auctions in Swindon on Thursday .
The 14 sets of monthly men's magazine Penthouse date from 1965 to 1980 and are still in their original publisher's binders.
The auctioneers say the magazines include articles and contributions from famous writers of the period including William S Burroughs, Kingsley Amis, Allen Ginsberg, JG Ballard, Gregory Corso and Colin Wilson.
They are currently owned by a private collector from Cirencester, Gloucestershire, and will go under the hammer next month.
Auctioneer and valuer, Nathan Winter, said: "It's unusual to get such a complete run and they are in excellent condition.
"They will be of interest from a vintage angle. The earlier men's magazines were of course a lot tamer and then the publication laws were relaxed in the 60s."
Mr Winter said there was a genuine interest in the authors' inclusion.
"PG Wodehouse was a regular contributor to some very light magazines which had scantily-clad girls in them and wrote little stories for them. So there's always been that literary tradition.'"
The 14 sets together are expected to fetch £300 to £400.
