A 16-year-old boy was subjected to a bizarre attack from a cyclist who slashed him on two occasions with a sharp object yesterday.
The youngster was approached by the stocky male cyclist in Highworth Road after walking along the alley between Delamere Drive and Highworth Road in Stratton.
The attacker was wearing dark cycling clothing and a dark helmet.
He lashed out at the teenager with a sharp instrument possibly a knife causing scratches to his torso. He then rode off towards the Crown Pub.
About half an hour later, the victim was re-tracing his steps along the alley when he was again attacked by the man who cut the teenager's left arm.
The victim was not seriously hurt.
Swindon police are keen to hear from witnesses following the incident at about 9.30am yesterday.
