The under eights also opened up with a win, Sam Williams scoring twice and Jerome Davies once, while Jack Kinver bagged a hat-trick in a 6-1 win.
At under nine level, Bassett scored victories in two separate matches, by 4-0 in the first and 2-0 in the second.
Both Jason Grunsell and Daniel Hubble showed up well for Swindon.

Bassett and Swindon fought out a 5-5 draw in their under 10s clash.
Swindon started well and, after three minutes, they were ahead as Kierstin Baddeley scored a try.
Bassett continued to soak up the pressure, but six minutes into the second half, George Dent broke away six yards from his own line and ran the full length of the pitch to level.
