Michael Wills, MP for North Swindon, has praised schools in Swindon for their progress in maths and English since 1997. The Government has published the results for this years Key Stage tests for seven and 11-year-olds.
The percentage of pupils achieving level four or above in English is up by 11 per cent and in maths by 10 per cent. Mr Wills said: "I would like to congratulate pupils and teachers for achieving these record breaking results and maintaining and improving standards over the last five years."
