Police today appealed for a black cab driver who helped a mugging victim and drove him home to come forward.
The mugging happened at about 12.30am on August 31 when a 24-year-old man was approached in Henry Street by two men aged in their 20s to 30s. One of them held his arm behind his back and the other held a sharp metal object to his throat before they demanded money.
The victim, fearing for his safety, handed over £13 cash. One of the men was black, with short dreadlocks and a distinctive gold tooth. The other was also black and dressed in a dark baseball cap under a hooded jacket. The cab driver and anyone else who can help with information is asked to contact PC Neil Hardman of Swindon Police on 528111.
