HIGHWORTH School pupils are looking forward to life in the fast lane after taking delivery of their first new minibus in 19 years.
The vehicle, which cost over £14,000, will be used to ferry students to sports fixtures and for small group outings.
Headteacher, John Saunders, said: "The new bus will be used almost every day.
"It's great for the sports teams to have modern, safe transport to away fixtures."
"The old bus was used to take students on outdoor activity trips as well as to rugby, football and netball matches."
The school has had three buses over the last 20 years, and all but one were bought second-hand.
Cash for the new vehicle was raised by a May fair, although the school still needs to raise another £2,000 before the bus is theirs.
