NOMINATIONS are pouring in for this year's Salisbury & District Chamber of Commerce and Industry's awards.
Attendance for last year's ceremony was a record and organisers are hoping this year's event will attract even more people.
Delia Hubbard, executive officer of the chamber, said the chamber had already received a lot of nominations for the awards, which will be presented at the City Hall on November 9.
"Hopefully it will be a bumper year," she said, "We want it to be something really good for the business community.
"We have had quite a few nominations for employee of the year and some interesting ones for the city centre award, which recognises the business that has done the most for Salisbury.
"We are getting nominations a lot earlier this year and have already had many from the district.
She said entry forms were being sent to all chamber members, but businesses could send in nominations by letter, indicating which category they are entering, to Salisbury & District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 22 Bedwin Street, Salisbury, SP1 3UT.
The closing date is 12pm on November 1.
The categories, all of which attract prize money or promotional packages, are: employee of the year, long service award for employees who have served 20 years or more, volunteer award for charitable work, customer service of the year award, city centre award, entrepreneur award, and community initiative of the year.
