POLICE are widening the hunt to catch a rapist who attacked a 22-year-old care worker in St Andrew's Church yard in Chippenham.
Appeals are being made to people across a wider area covering Bristol and Swindon in the hope that more witnesses will come forward.
PC Andrew Fortune said the police were continuing with their inquiries but they were still appealing for witnesses from a wider area.
DS Matthew Jones said there had been no significant changes in the case and the police were still working through the information they have.
The police have finished trawling through hours of CCTV footage of the town centre recorded on the night of the attack.
"Inquiries are continuing in relation to the CCTV footage," said PC Fortune.
Police are still following up information given by customers of the Rose and Crown public house, where the victim had been drinking on the night of the attack.
"All the inquiries are ongoing and these can take longer than people expect. We are awaiting the results of forensic evidence," said PC Fortune.
The attack, which has left the victim emotionally traumatised, happened around midnight on September 13.
