YOUTH FOOTBALL: AFC CORSHAM Jaguars under 10s maintained their unbeaten run in the Wiltshire Times and News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League this season with a high scoring match at Leafy Lane against Westbury Youth.

Unbeaten in Division Two the Jaguars wound up their league cup first round match with a first half hat-trick from Ben Wyborn, two goals from Tom Smith and one from Ben Bastock to bring the score to 6-0 at the break.

The second half continued to run to form with man-of-the-match Darran Moss taking control of the midfield and weighing in with four goals of his own.

The Jaguars displayed some very confident passing and maintained control.

Westbury used a new goalkeeper in the second half and he brought off a string of fine saves to keep the hungry Corsham forwards at bay, but two more goals from Tom Smith, an unfortunate own goal and a fourth for Wyborn brought the final score to 14-0.

Fine performances from Sam Thompson, Simon Burt and Bradley Godridge meant that goalkeeper David Doel in goal had a very quiet day.

FC Chippenham met Trowbridge Town Youth Blues for the second week running after the two sides had met in the league game the previous week.

The Blues set the tone from the off, with Stephen Oakley going close in the opening seconds after being put through by Josh Batstone.

Thomas Shergold caused havoc in the Chippenham defence and the goals soon started to flow and Stephen Oakley grabbed five as the Blues ran out 12-0 winners.

Harry Clarke was again outstanding, setting up most of the attacks from deep.

Trowbridge Town Youth Reds were a little slow to get into their stride in their away tie at Castle Combe Colts but once they found their rhythm they were too strong for a brave Castle Combe outfit. Mitchell Spackman was main provider and scorer, hitting four goals. Sam Creedy and Daniel Price grabbed two apiece and the scoring was completed by Otis Young and Bradley Whittham in a 10-0 win.

Trowbridge Town Youth Yellow produced the best performance from the Trowbridge Town youth teams in their away tie against Chippenham Town Rangers. James Cocker was outstanding in the first half, dominating the midfield and scoring a deserved hat-trick. Kieron Hammond came out of goal in the second half and scored four goals. Ryan Bodman scored a penalty and man-of-the-match Matthew Howell completed the scoring at 9-0.

FC Chippenham ran out 7-1 winners in their home tie against local rivals Chippenham Town Youth.

Under 11s League Cup

FC CHIPPENHAM ran out 2-1 winners in their preliminary tie at Trowbridge Wanderers.

Ryan Merryweather scored his second goal for Chippenham in the dying minutes.

Under 12s League Cup

TOM Durston (3) and Josh Petty scored for Pewsey Vale in their preliminary round tie, but the game went to Amesbury Juniors in a 4-5 final score.

Shaw and Whitley went into the next round after running out 4-1 winners away to FC Chippenham. Jack Tyzack-Smith scored for Chippenham.

Under 13s League Cup

CRAIG Fisher gave home side Chippenham Town Youth a narrow advantage at the break in their preliminary round tie against Bath Arsenal, but the Bath side ran out 4-1 winners.

Under 14s League Cup

AFC CORSHAM battled well at Salisbury Juniors with the home side going into the break with a 5-0 advantage.

A spirited Corsham side continued to battle well in the second half and kept the visitors out but finally conceded two further goals leaving the game at 7-0 to Salisbury. Salisbury had the majority of the play but chances were missed at both ends.

Joe Brace put Marlborough 1-0 in their home game against FC Chippenham but the visitors led 2-1 at the break. The second half went all Chippenham's way with three more goals to finish 5-1 winners. George Crotty (2), Tim Kershaw (2) and Chris Cox scored.

Chippenham Town Youth had the run of play and made the most of their chances in the first half of their game against home side Calne Town Youth, going in 4-0 up at the interval.

Calne battled on in the second half giving very little away and with both sides scoring in the second half the final score went 5-1 to the visitors. Daniel Clements, Nathan Philimore, Liam Wiggins and Sam Pring (2) scored for Chippenham, with Louis Gough replying for Calne.

Under 15s League Cup

PEWSEY Vale struggled to contain a well organised and disciplined Chippenham Town Rangers side that seem capable of achieving some good results. Pewsey started with more determination than they have so far this season but were knocked back when Chippenham scored two goals after 15 minutes while Pewsey's central defender Matthew Wren was off the pitch receiving treatment for a bloody nose.

Confidence was dealt a body blow and Chippenham took full advantage, hitting a final tally of ten to finish 10-2 winners. Pewsey's Scott Hull scored from the penalty spot with Shane Spring adding the second with a thunderbolt from outside the box into the roof of the net.

The first half of the game between home side Devizes Town and Lavington Bandits saw both teams battling well and ended all square at 1-1. During the second half Devizes were the stronger and the final score line was 5-1 to the home side. The Devizes goals came from Owen Burgess, Ray King, Phil Hardy, Lee Giles and Charlie Moss, with Luke Enderby replying for Lavington.

Castle Combe Colts took a 3-1 lead into the second half of their game against Croft Juniors following a very close first half. Croft came back to 3-2 early on but then lost the plot and the home side run away with an 8-3 victory. Marcus Neal (2), Lee Fernandez, Oliver Dowrick, Warren Alison, Natty Aukland, Nathan Pritchard and Mike Gwyer scored for Castle Combe.

A ten man Marlborough side put up a brave display against Westbury Youth and fine first half goals by Josh Forster and Stuart Cody and a well taken free kick by Will Bryant earned them a convincing 3-0 win.

Under 16s League Cup

PHIL Hampson put visitors Westbury Youth 1-0 up in the first half of their preliminary round tie against Lavington Bandits.

Five minutes into the second half Westbury doubled their lead through Ryan Shergold to seal their victory.

In a hard fought competitive game FC Chippenham won through to the next round by knocking out Devizes Town Youth 3-0. Jame Lyons, Kris Beasley and Aaron Merryweather scored for Chippenham.

Under 17s-18s Division

CRICKLADE Youth welcomed back Matt Chamberlain who scored his first goal within the first few minutes in their home game against Bath Arsenal.

Chamberlain completed his hat-trick and further goals from Tom Green and Richard Stubbs made the final score 5-0 to Cricklade.

Warminster Town remain unbeaten following their 3-1 home win against Malmesbury Youth.

Under 16s Blue Division

AFC CORSHAM earned their second win of the season with an away win against Chippenham Town Rangers.

Corsham had most of the play in the first half, running up a 4-0 lead at the break. The second half saw Chippenham stand fast but unable to make most of their chances count. With a goal a piece in the second half the game finished 5-1 to AFC Corsham.

Under 14s Blue Division

STRATTON Juniors narrowed the gap at the top to just two points with a 9-1 away win against AFC Corsham.

A fruitless first half ended 0-0 between home side Devizes Town Youth and Trowbridge Town Youth. Ricky Franklin broke the deadlock for Devizes and goals from Luke Harper and Patrick Preece secured a 3-0 win.

Under 14s Red Division

IN a ten goal thriller home side Bradford on Avon took all three points against gutsy Castle Combe Colts.

A close first half saw the home side take a narrow 2-1 advantage, but they dominated thesecond half to run out 7-3 winners. David Blagborough (2), Nick Medin (3) and Josh Hall scored for Bradford, with Luke Hodden, Jamie Davies and Daniel Johnson (penalty) replying.

Under 13s Blue Division

FC CHIPPENHAM got off to a quick start with a goal from Mark Nolan after five minutes in their home game against Calne Town Youth.

The pressure on Calne was non-stop throughout the first half with a further two goals from Nolan and one from James Hofstad. The half-time break helped Calne as they came out fighting and scored two well worked goals.

The game settled down and was end to end for a while then Jack Forrester chipped in a fine free kick from the corner and Mark Bowsher scored with a solid header. Chippenham scored two more goals from Andrew Bailey and Nolan to finish 7-3 winners. Calne kept going until the end and managed to score a good chipped consolation goal.

Shaw and Whitley continue to head the division following their 6-0 win against Westinghouse Youth.

Under 13s Red Division

THE game between home side Castle Combe Colts and Westbury Youth was played in great spirit with credit going to Castle Combe who never gave up despite losing 14-0.

Under 12s Red Division

IN a hard fought game Bromham came out on top with a 3-0 win against Westbury Youth, with Tim Garrett scoring in the first half and Jacob Rogers (2) completing the scoring in the second.

Following a very even first half the game between Chippenham Town Rangers and visitors White Horse Juniors stood all square at 2-2. Chippenham piled on the pressure in the second half and were rewarded with two more goals to finish 4-2 winners. Chippenham's goals came from Ben Heap and Sean Hughes (3). Craig Ewles and Chris Blewitt scored for White Horse.

Under 11s Division One

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers continued their unbeaten run with a 10-0 home win against Westbury Youth.

Devizes Town Youth ran out 2-0 winners at home to Warminster Highbury.

Under 11s Division Two

CHIPPENHAM Town Youth earned their second win of the season in their away game against Bradford on Avon.

They dominated the first half and went in 4-1 ahead at the break. The second half was a more even affair with both sides scoring one each for the game to end 5-2 to the visitors. Elliot Smith and Isaac Baitson scored for Bradford.

Under 11s Division Three

CASTLE Combe Colts proved the stronger of the two sides in their home game against AFC Corsham, running out 10-1 winners with goals from Georgie Nash (3), Matthew Harding (2), Joe Hylands, Gary Lorimer (2) and Matthew Loft (2).
