THE streets of Chippenham are starting to resemble a rubbish tip. The level of rubbish is getting out of hand.

Whilst the street cleaners do a good job of keeping the High Street cleannish what about the rest of the town? It can be argued that people leave rubbish, but it can also be argued that we also pay a high council tax for these services to be undertaken and are not getting value for money.

On the subject of services, in the Gazette recently there was an article regarding a possible cut of £3 million in the police budget which could result in a loss of 100 police officers. If there were more police on the beat they wouldn't have to drive around in flash cars. As a motorist I know where the savings could be saved. I realise that there are bigger issues but I don't think I am alone on these points.

On a lighter note, why does the dog warden need ladders on her van. Do dogs get stuck up trees.
