DEVIZES' new Fijian imports were on the scoresheet as they overcame near neighbours Calne in a Southern Counties South local derby at London Road on Saturday 28 September.
The visitors went into the game still smarting from a 70-0 hammering at the hands of Frome a week previously, but went ahead within two minutes after an unstoppable forward drive gave their fly half the chance to chip ahead and score.
The easy conversion left Devizes chasing a seven-point deficit, but Fijian flanker Nav ended a sustained spell of pressure with the hosts' first try. Sean O'Sullivan added the conversion to level the scores.
Calne continued to keep Devizes on the back foot with some effective harrying tactics and regained the lead through a penalty.
A rare moment of inspiration saw Devizes recycle the ball from several rucks in the Calne 22 and eventually spin it wide for Chris Jones to cut inside from the wing.
Jones provided the pass for Chris Burbidge to score.
A further penalty from Calne saw them seize the lead for a third time, but O'Sullivan responded with a penalty of his own to give Devizes the advantage going into the interval.
O'Sullivan then began the move that led to Fijian winger Jona Manu going over for Devizes' third try just after the restart and converted to open up a nine-point lead.
Manu added his second try after claiming Andy Webb's kick on the bounce, before Nav's telling break gave Burbidge the chance to complete his own brace of tries.
Calne responded with a try following some good interpassing, before a break by Burbidge gave fellow centre Gareth Davies the chance to complete the scoring.
