AN organic trout farm in Longbridge Deverill, near Warminster, has won a national award.
The award was presented to Purely Organic by Safeway's director of communications, Keith Hawkins, to recognise the quality of the farm's fresh trout, smoked trout and smoked trout pate. Purely Organic is owned by Tony and Eleanor Free, who started the business in Devizes in 1998.
They now run one of only three organic trout businesses in the country.
Purely Organic appears in the BBC's Good Food Guide and is listed in Rick Stein's Book of Local Food Heroes.
