SCREWFIX DIRECT LEAGUE: MELKSHAM gave an excellent display to beat a side fresh from a midweek victory over champions Bideford.
They went ahead after 12 minutes. Luke Jones latched on to keeper Dave Hunt's long clearance and outstripped the defence to slot the ball past Kevin Hurd.
Five minutes later it was 2-0 when Andrew Sandell's free kick was headed home by player-manager Robbie Lardner.
Bridgwater pulled one back two minutes later when Ben Kirk scored from close range. On the stroke of half time, Bridgwater were down to 10 men when their Marcus Vaughan was sent off after striking Luke Jones. Early in the second half Jones got his second.
