SKURRAY'S WILTSHIRE LEAGUE: YOUNG Trowbridge Town Reserves side turned the tables on Dunbar Westside in the first round of the Plaister Autos Intermediate Cup, beating the Swindon side 2-1 on their own ground.
When the two sides met in the league a few weeks ago, Dunbar, leaders of the Intermediate Division, ran out winners 8-2.
Trowbridge manager Paul King was delighted with his side's performance.
King said: "The lads played really well and it was nice to see 16-year-old Ricky Hulbert grab the winner 10 minutes from time."
Earlier Mark Connolly had given Dunbar an interval lead and Booker Woodford took advantage of a mistake by home goalkeeper Steve Kaye to level the scores.
Hulbert became the hero in the closing stages, putting the finishing touch to a good move following a quick break by the visitors.
Cricklade's Martin Curtis scored his seventh goal in three games for the club when he completed a hat-trick in their 4-2 win over Bradford Town after extra-time in the first round of the Corsham Print Senior Cup.
Visitors Bradford took the lead with a strike by Rodney after some indifferent Cricklade defending.
The visitors held on to their lead until the last quarter of the game when Matt Charlton equalised with a 20-yarder that took a deflection past the Bradford goalkeeper.
Bradford had a defender sent off in the last five minutes and in the first period of extra-time a Steve Reed cross was converted by Curtis to put the home side 2-1 up.
Almost immediately Rob Simpson levelled the scores and then hit the woodwork with another effort.
With five minutes of the second period remaining a penalty shoot-out looked likely.
But Curtis regained the lead for Cricklade after the Bradford goalkeeper could only parry a fierce shot from Corcoran and he was on hand to hit the loose ball into the net.
The same player sealed it after latching on to a poor back pass for his third.
Premier Division leaders Stratton Crosslink were held to a 2-2 draw at Corsham Town Reserves, Jamie Rowe and Martin Ford on target for the home side.
Aldbourne continued their good run with a 2-0 away win over Westbury United Reserves, Gavin Baron scoring a goal in each half.
Bottom club Chiseldon Castrol are going through a desperate spell and lost by the odd goal again, this time 2-1 at home to Melksham Town Reserves.
Christian Bailey netted for Castrol and Dan Harvey and Danny Lardner for the visitors.
Biddestone and Warminster Town drew 1-1, Lee Stevenson netting for Biddestone after 15 minutes and Tom Welch grabbing an equaliser 10 minutes from time.
In the Intermediate Division, Calne Town Reserves beat Blunsdon United 4-2 on their own ground, despite them going a goal up with a strike by Danny Pearson.
Calne replied with two goals from Tony Kerwick to lead at the break.
Nick Benson and Ian Catchpole added further goals for the visitors in the second half, with Dennis Wheatley scoring a second goal for Blunsdon United.
Stratton Crosslink Reserves were beaten 2-1 at Kingsdown by Biddestone Reserves.
James O'Meara and John Tindall put the visitors two goals up and Darren Jell pulled a goal back in the last quarter of the game for Biddestone.
Ferndale Rodbourne and Bromham took part in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Robert Griffin hit the target for Ferndale Rodbourne with two goals from the penalty spot and John Sampson and Jim Sharpe replying for the visitors.
Both clubs' officials praised referee Norman Cross.
