AN exhibition to mark the 60th anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein has been put up in the Dewey Museum in Warminster Library.
The exhibition, which will be on display for the whole of October, includes pictures and diary extracts from the A Squadron of the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry, who were based in the town.
A spokesman for the library said: "There will be an opportunity to see the exhibition again during December to enable as many people as possible to follow the fortunes of the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry from September 1939 to December 1942."
"It really is a valuable opportunity for people to appreciate the role of this famous and historic Wiltshire regiment in one of the battles that changed the course of World War II."
