A REFURBISHED ancient barn in Bradford on Avon was the atmospheric setting for the marriage of day nursery owners Mark Kendall and Arlene Caddow in its first private function.
Bradford Preservation Trust completed restoration of the West Barn, next to the Tithe Barn in July, and the building has been licensed to hold weddings.
Ms Caddow said: "Everything was beautiful. I am 40, not the young blushing bride and wanted something different."
The couple, who run Westview Nursery in St Margaret's Street, had a middle-eastern themed wedding.
They have lived in Bradford for two years with children Charlotte, 16, Bernard 14, and Maxine 12.
The barn, which dates from around the 12th century, was destroyed by fire in 1982 and lay in ruins until the Preservation Trust began work in 1998.
