Can any of your readers help? We are looking for people willing to give up a week of their time to help people with physical disabilities have a holiday and give carers a break?
The Winged Fellowship Trust has five purpose built centres in Cornwall, Essex, Nottingham, Southport and Southampton and volunteers help us provide our guests with personal support and companionship.
Their role is vital in enabling our guests to have independence, choice and the opportunity to enjoy the wide range of trips and entertainment that we offer.
We are open all year round, but especially need people to help this Autumn, through to Christmas.
We would like to hear from people over 18 years old, but there is no upper age limit. We ask that people are reasonably fit and active.
Enthusiasm and a friendly personality is the key to a successful and worthwhile week.
We are especially seeking more mature people who are perhaps out of work or retired and wish to utilise their life skills and experience.
All food, accommodation, insurance and travel costs are paid for.
This can also be a terrific opportunity for people who perhaps want to develop personal and professional skills in a unique environment and gain a greater awareness of disability in the bargain.
Readers have a chance to really make a difference in a warm friendly and supportive atmosphere.
