WORKERS at two major Trowbridge firms feel like they have been kicked in the teeth after being made redundant.
Staff at The Consortium were told on Monday the firm is scrapping the night shift, which employed 22 people.
On Tuesday, staff at the Nestle factory, at Staverton, were told up to 50 jobs could be lost following a reorganisation resulting in the closure of the distribution operation.
Jobs losses at any time of the year are hard to bear but these people must be particularly worried about a loss of income in the run up to Christmas and our thoughts are with them.
