DISCARDED mobile phones and empty printer cartridges are being turned into gold by a cash-strapped school.
Moredon Junior School is set to make hundreds of pounds by collecting the equipment from firms and individuals and sending it to be recycled under a new project called Sprints. The school can earn as much as £3.50 from a recycled mobile phone.
Head Lauren Connor said pupils will be able to help decide how the money is spent.
BP has already donated a van full of used printer cartridges. Call Sprints on 08451 30 20 50 and quote account number 812156- M. J. S. Swindon.
