Chippenham TOWN missed the chance to go fourth in the Dr Martens Premier Division, as lowly Moor Green snatched an unlikely last-gasp equaliser for a 1-1 draw at Hardenhuish Park.
Tommy Saunders' side looked to be suffering the after-effects of last week's 4-1 FA Cup loss to Weymouth, as a truly dire first half saw the Bluebirds in lethargic mood.
Matt Rawlins and Adie Mings, recalled to the side at the expense of Mark Robinson and Charlie Griffin, squandered the best chances in the first period.
Rawlins dragged an angled drive wide, while Mings curled an effort over when well placed.
Town upped the tempo after the break and skipper Colin Towler made a scoring return to the side after coming back from a lengthy rib injury.
Mark Harrington bent in a free-kick from the right, and Towler connected perfectly to send a header across the dive of Adam Rachel.
Martin Paul should have doubled the lead after Harrington sent him clean through, but Town's top marksman could only hit the side netting. Substitute Griffin then sent a good headed chance into Rachel's grasp.
The Bluebirds inevitably rued the misses, and a fluffed Wayne Thorne clearance allowed Jai Stanley to cross for Marvin Blake who fired home from close range.
Chippenham: Bittner, Charity, Thorne, Towler, Gould, Badman, Brown, Harrington, Paul, Rawlins, Mings Subs: Thompson, Horgan, Andrews, Griffin, Robinson Attendance: 577.
