IN response to Val Hemmens, of Common Platt, I would like to thank her for her kind comments regarding brass bands in the Old Town Gardens Bandstand.
On behalf of one such local band, I can assure her that we enjoy performing in such a pleasant environment, and it is always good to know we have an appreciative audience.
From our point of view, I would like to comment on the helpfulness of the council staff, in always ensuring that chairs are available for the band members on Sunday afternoons.
We look forward to another summer of concerts in 2003.
