GOALKEEPER Chris Rees was involved in the most bizarre goal of the day.
The Intermach Engineering custodian scored direct from a kick-out, the ball bouncing twice before beating Rees's opposite number in the Duckhams Q goal.
But it was not enough to stop his Division Seven side losing 3-2. Mark Hillcoat also scored for Intermach, and Duckhams replies came from John Cave-Ayland (2) and Mark Woods.
Another unusual feat was Andy Green's hat-trick for Ladsio of Division Six in his team's fixture at H & H Athletic in that they all came direct from corners. Dave Devine and Matt Hodey were also on target for Ladsio while James Aghabi replied for H & H.
In Division One New Century WMC recorded a 4-2 home win against Wroughton WMC with Matt Saye (2), Eddie Gordon and Steve Shaw on target.
Carriers Arms won 4-2 at Moonrakers with Steve Thomas, Mark Peters, Matt Hack and an own goal scoring for the Arms with the Moonies replies coming from Danny Hawkins and a penalty from Micky Harper, who also missed one.
AFC Gas were involved in another high scoring match, this time edging past Rodbourne Cheney SMC 5-4. Double strikes from Steve Bennett and Darren Hawkins and one from Gary Ashford did the job.
Greyhound won 5-0 at Tran Staff with Dave Slattery (2, including a penalty), Richard Morgan, Tony Joyce and Christian White on the scoresheet.
In Division Two result of the day was Dynamo Ashton's 2-1 home win over Jesters. Lee Harris hit both goals and Jesters reply came from Steve Crame.
Another team to lose their unbeaten tag were SKS Blyskawica who came a cropper at Swindon West Indians. Jimmy Wright (2), Simon Sharp and Martin Curtis found the net for the home side, and there were two more goals for Blyskawica's Chris Kyle.
Athletico lost 1-0 at home to Innogy Holdings and Alanbrooke triumphed 6-4 at Pewsey Saints for whom Mike Martin (2), Chris Norman and Anthony Lister scored.
Innogy proved too strong for Highworth Plough, winning 9-1 at home with a hat-trick for Neil Strange, two for Roger Longjohn and Steve Molina and one each for Richard Smith and Tony Hardy.
In Division Three South Marston and Thamesdown Nalgo met and Nalgo won 2-1. Martin Wells scored for Marston.
The local derby between Haydon Wick WMC and Fox & Hounds was won by the Wick 3-1 with goals from Russell Jones (2) and one for Danny Hyde against his former club. Jamie Ashby replied for the Fox.
Compton Welding went down 6-1 against Penhill United, with Steve Compton scoring for the home side. Shaun Smith hit the net for Wanborough in his side's 1-1 home draw against High St Club.
Coleshill won by the odd goal in seven against Coleview Sports. Their scorers were Mike Juggins (2), Mike O'Sullivan and Matthew Bugden. Among the scores for Coleview were Mick Redford and Martin Day
In Division Four Highworth Swindon Fencing defeated the previously unbeaten Auto Colour 2-1 with goals from Marcus Richards and Daniel Ward.
County Ground kept their fine start to the season going by beating Windmill 3-0. Phil Corcoran, Rick Casey and Gareth Davies hit the net for County Ground.
Suffolk Arms were comfortable 6-0 winners against Southbrook Inn with Stephen Townsend (2), Stuart Ballinger, Ali Wood, Matt Dawe and Jason Delly scoring.
KMLC recorded their first win of the season 8-3 at Campbell James. A hat-trick for Paul Loveridge, two each for Ben Fitzgibbon and Simon Pugh, and one for Ashley Archer completed the scoring. Campbell James' marksmen were Gary Baker, Neil Henny and Jordan Barrett.
A goal each for Rob Staynings and Steve Brierley could not stop Red Lion going down 3-2 at home to Lamb Marlborough.
In Division Five four goals for Tom Harris plus a hat-trick for Gerry Ellis gave Jovial Monk a comfortable 7-1 win at ISSC, for whom Jason Lyne replied.
Brook House Farm beat Swindon Police 5-2 with goals from Martin Richardson, Winston Booth, Craig Rathbone and two from Simon Footner. Neil Robinson was again on target in scoring both goals for Queensfield in their 2-1 win at the Bear Hotel.
Sun Inn Coate triumphed again, winning 7-2 at Sporting Sunnys thanks to four goals from Wayne Palmer and one each from Mark Botting, James Whitmore and Des Flannelly. Dave Ford and Craig Alexander scored for Sunnys.
Wincanton proved too strong for Grosvenor, winning 4-0 with Tom Sardo, Steve Kay, Shane Hewlett and Richie Willis scoring.
In Division Six Castrol GTX and G & F Bricklaying both recorded 5-0 victories over Iceland United and Kingsdown United respectively. A hat-trick for Jake Henly and one each for John Carter and Wayne Thompson helped Castrol to their win.
Joining them at the top are Dolphin who beat Halcrow 4-2 with Ben Taylor, Mark Emerson, Steve Ludlow and Ross Kent on target. Faringdon Rd Grapes beat Penetrators 3-1, with Mark Malham (2) and Dennis Carter scoring.
In Division Seven Swindon City did well to lower the colours of Endeva 3-1 with goals from Alex Woolhouse. Simon Maflin and Chris Smith.
WS One were 5-1 victors at Fairford Sunday, with Terry Griffin helping himself to another couple of goals. Also on target were Rob Griffin, Sam Brown and Andy Marriott.
A Dennis King hat-trick plus two from Tony Baldwin and one for Will Tinkler saw Deers Leap beat Longs Bar 6-0. Dennis Removals recorded a 2-0 home win against Blueprint with Andy Forbes grabbing both goals and he also missed a penalty.
