CHIPPENHAM Town have the chance to exact some swift revenge tonight when they travel to Weymouth in the Dr Martens Premier Division.

Tommy Saunders' men suffered a humiliating 4-1 home FA Cup defeat at the hands of the Terras 10 days ago.

Now the Bluebirds manager insists his side will avenge that loss.

"I think we can go down there and get a result," he said.

"We are looking to play a lot better than we did last time, and if we do I'm confident we will pick up three points."

The two teams will certainly be familiar with each other, with this their third meeting in a month.

The first was a 1-1 league draw at Hardenhuish in early September before the cup clash.

Competition for places in the Bluebirds' starting XI is hotting up as the injury list eases.

Goalkeeper Paul Thompson is fit again, but James Bittner should retain the No 1 jersey and new signing Gary Horgan will put Mark Badman under pressure for a midfield berth.

Charlie Griffin was dropped for the Moor Green draw on Saturday, but will be pushing for a return particularly if Saunders opts for a three-pronged attack.

HIGHWORTH face their toughest Hellenic League test of the season when they travel to high-flying Yate.

The Bristol side are favourites for the Premier Division title after winning seven and drawing one of their eight games thus far.

John Fisher's Highworth are also unbeaten, but have drawn five of their seven matches to fall adrift of the leading pack.

In the Norman Matthews Cup, Wootton Bassett manager Pete Yeardley is expected to ring the changes after his side were hammered 8-0 by Bishops Cleeve on Saturday.

They'll need to improve considerably to avoid another mauling against North Leigh.

Elsewhere in the competition, Don Rogers' Pewsey Vale visit Abingdon.
