A SECOND-HALF Charlie Griffin goal earned Chippenham Town a useful point against familiar foes Weymouth last night.
The Terras had beaten Tommy Saunders' men 4-1 in a recent FA Cup clash, and Town faced another defeat in the face as Jason Charles' goal just before the break gave Weymouth a half-time lead in Dorset.
Chippenham striker Martin Paul earlier crashed a shot against the bar, as the Bluebirds continued their recent shy bout in front of goal.
But Griffin, who had gone five games without scoring, ended his goal drought with an all-important equaliser 20 minutes from time.
The result sees Chippenham retain eighth place in the Dr Martens Premier Division.
FORMER league leaders Worcester were replaced by Crawley at the top following a shock 1-0 defeat at Bath City.
