PUPILS at Ridgeway School proved they are a sporting lot with a day of sponsored activities to raise cash.
Youngsters participated in everything from walking, cycling and swimming to squash, golf, fishing, trampolining and skateboarding.
School spokeswoman Marilyn Indge said: "We are hoping to raise £12,000 which will be used to finance extra-curricular activities, contribute towards funding a new minibus and donations to six charities nominated by our pupils."
Other activities included chess, war games and even cake baking with ingredients courtesy of supermarket Kwik Save.
Other intrepid types enjoyed mountain biking, ice skating and there was even some DIY enthusiasts putting their backs into decorating the sixth form common room.
