BATH Baroque will be presenting a feast of music by Handel at a concert in Bath on February 15.
The programme will accompany the composer on his journeys in Germany, Italy and Somerset, giving an account of his noble struggle with the treacherous Italian, Bononcini, and his botanical friendship with his revered compatriot Herr Telemann.
Accompanying the journey will be performances of some of his most notable works.
Favourites will include The Water Music and The Harmonious Blacksmith.
Bath Baroque will also be including pieces by some of Handel's most eminent predecessors, peers and successors.
The programme will include Dido's Lament by Henry Purcell, and the celebrated oboe concerto in D minor by Albinoni.
The concert will take place at Christ Church, Julian Road, Bath at 7.30pm.
Tickets priced £10, £9 concessions, and £5 for the under-17s can be obtained by calling (01249) 714775.
