TOMMY SAUNDERS has bolstered his Chippenham Town squad ahead of tonight's crucial Dr Martens Cup semi-final at Halesowen.
Former Bath City winger Scott Walker has joined from Newport County until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move.
Walker will travel to the Midlands for the last-four showdown with Town's former Western Division rivals, but Saunders might not be able to name the new boy in his side.
"Scott's an excellent player and a very good signing for us," said Saunders.
"But we'll have to wait and see if he can play at Halesowen because we're waiting on international clearance."
As Newport are affiliated to the Welsh FA, Walker will require clearance before switching to another national code.
Saunders has selection problems down the left should the 22-year-old not get the all-clear.
Regular wide man Steve Brown picked up some heavy bruising on his leg during the 0-0 draw at Worcester on Saturday and is extremely doubtful.
If Walker is unable to make his debut, Wayne Thorne will be in line for a first team recall. The rest of the team should remain unchanged.
The winners of tonight's match will play either Crawley or King's Lynn in a two-legged final.
n Highworth and Wootton Bassett go into the Hellenic Premier Division derby tonight with very different agendas.
Hosts Highworth are still clinging to a slim hope of winning the title, while Bassett aim to pull further away from the drop zone.
There's a big gap between the sides in the table but both managers are expecting a tight affair.
Yeardley will give keeper Rich Stevens a fitness test before deciding whether to recall him. Defender Brian Kyall is missing through work commitments.
Highworth will be without Martin Churchward (knee), but Andy Wollen is fit again and Jamie Mills returns to the squad.
Elsewhere in the top flight, struggling Pewsey entertain Fairford while in Division One West, Malmesbury visit Chipping Norton.
