FOOTBALL fan Phil Blundell has created a pancake in the shape of the FA Cup.
A loyal Arsenal fan, Phil, 33, from Woodhall Park in North Swindon, works as the Chef de Partie at the Nationwide Building Society's headquarters.
He struck on the idea for Shrove Tuesday because Nationwide has been involved in a campaign for fans from around the country to send in FA Cup shapes made from weird materials.
Cooked on a large tray, the pancake is roughly five times larger than a typical pancake and slightly thicker, yet despite its size, Phil managed to toss it.
Once cooked, Phil then had to carefully cut out the shape of the FA Cup, a process that took around 15 minutes.
He said: "This is a great challenge, but I have got no intention of eating the pancake. I just hope I don't have to cook FA Cup pancakes for all 3,000 employees at Nationwide House, otherwise I may miss the match."
Nationwide's campaign has been launched in partnership with the FA Cup and the England Team.
The lucky winner will see their shape transformed into a Nationwide advert, which will be used in the FA Cup Final programme this season.
