A HYPNOTHERAPIST is to donate a quarter of the proceeds of stop smoking sessions to the Prospect Hospice.
Andrew Hill, of AH Associates, is donating the cash from payments from people who attend sessions during the week of March 10 to March 14.
His aim is to give people an extra boost during the week of National No Smoking Day, which is on March 12.
Mr Hill says he is making the donation out of respect for people who have lost their lives to cancer.
He said: "Many people who have been addicted to cigarettes for years want to give up but need that extra push to help them.
"A lot of people make that choice on National No Smoking Day and hypnotherapy can help them keep it up.
"It is a sad fact that every year thousands and thousands of people die in the UK because of smoking-related diseases, so I have decided to donate a portion of my proceeds out of respect for them."
