IT was a red letter day for Division Two side Highworth Plough as they gained their first points of the season.

The bottom-of-the-table team romped to a fine 2-0 home win over Dynamo Ashton, thanks to goals from Chris Wardroper and Robert Groves.

Despite fielding nine players from the start Ladsio put in a superb performance to win 3-2 at Philip Andrews in their Division 6 fixture at Supermarine.

Billy Hunt and John Hughes scored for the disappointed losers.

Elsewhere in this division Penetrators had an excellent 3-2 win at second-placed Dolphin with Jason Cobb, Rob Richings and Justin Webb getting on the scoresheet.

Closing the gap on the teams at the top are Castrol GTX who won 3-2 at Faringdon Rd Grapes, thanks to a double from Wayne Thompson and one for Tom Hunt. Darren Fortnight and Carl Pace replied for the Grapes.

H & H Athletic won 5-2 at Kingsdown United with Dave Gibbons and Richard Ricks (penalty) scoring for the home side.

Division 2 leaders SKS Blyskawica had to rely on a last-minute equaliser from Ben Hollick, his second of the game, in their 2-2 draw at home to Athletico. Robbie Poynter had earlier knocked in a double for the visitors.

The game between Swindon West Indians and Alanbrooke produced a rare goalless draw.

Jesters overcame third-placed Innogy Holdings 3-1 with Mark Croydon, Jason Kearns and Steve Crame netting.

A Tom Adams double and a goal from Mike Martin wasn't enough for Pewsey Saints who went down 4-3 at home to Innogy.

In Division 1, Juventus went joint top after their 7-3 win at New Century WMC. A four-timer for Vinny Parker, Tate Hulbert with a double and Enzo Mazzotta earned them the points. Ryan Lovegrove with a double and Karl Little replied for Century.

A Phil Fisher hat-trick gave Wroughton WMC a superb 3-0 win over Carriers Arms.

With Division 3 leaders Penhill United without a fixture, South Marston failed to take advantage after being held to a 2-2 draw at Wanborough. Chris Rusling and Pete Myles scored for Wanborough.

Thamesdown Nalgo won 3-1 at Coleshill for whom Keith Coleman scored.

Mallard came back from being 3-1 down to defeat Nationwide 5-4 with goals from Andy Rutter, Stuart Murdoch, Reg Prentice and a double from Carl Dawson. Barry Shedden, Mike Hynde, Jason Daley and an own goal were on the spot for Nationwide.

Compton Welding won 2-0 at Fox & Hounds and High Street Club drew 1-1 with Coleview Sports. Kevin Traill scored for High St and Ryan Wheeler netted for Coleview.

Third-placed club in Division 4 Suffolk Arms won 1-0 at KMLC. A Ricky Oliver double gave Motorola a 2-1 home win over Lamb Marlborough.

Auto Colour won 3-2 at Red Lion with goals for John and Mark Hacker and Craig Toogood. Rob Staynings with a double replied for Red Lion.

Dave Heskett and Bob Murdoch scored as Southbrook Inn drew 2-2 at home to Windmill.

Second-placed Sun Inn Coate won 7-0 at Bear Hotel. Against a team who last week had beaten leaders Queensfield, Sun turned in an impressive performance with two goals each for James Whitmore and Daniel Doole with Steve Richardson, Wes Corbett and Mark Botting also netting.

Queensfield returned to winning ways defeating FC Lava Lounge 5-1. A Neil Robinson hat-trick, Robin Crease and John Mcdonagh did the trick. Andy Drinkwater bagged the Lava Lounge consolation.

An Ashley Oxborough hat-trick gave ISSC a 3-0 win at Nationwide Life and Wincanton were held to a 2-2 home draw against Brook House Farm with Richie Willis and Tony Mcfarlane netting.

Chesters made it two wins in two weeks with a 3-2 victory at AFC Southside. Craig Tucker and Andrew Jones scored for Southside.

Deers Leap returned to winning ways with a John Cole double which gave them a 2-1 home win over Blueprint.

Fourth beat third when MCS defeated WS One 4-1 with a double each for Mark Connolly and Ian Starkey, Terry Griffin replied for WS One.

Alix Lodge and Shaun Plank gave Intermach a 2-1 win over 419ers.
