FROGWELL Primary School is about to swap its 1970s mobile classrooms for a new £180,000, two-classroom block.
Part of a major programme of investment into schools by Wiltshire County Council, it is hoped that Frogwell's new block will be completed by Easter, ready for its pupils to start classes after the holidays.
Avis Ball, the school's headteacher, said: "We are very pleased to have replaced two of our old terrapin buildings with two bright and airy brick built classrooms which are attached to the main school."
And it's not only Frogwell School which is benefiting. Similar projects are also either finished or in their final stages at Westbury Junior School, Shaw Primary School, Melksham, and Oare Primary School, near Marlborough.
The result of partnerships between the Local Education Authority and schools, each of the schools have contributed part of the total cost.
C Syms and Son of Chippenham are carrying out the work at Frogwell.
