Five Rivers book place in play offs
FIVE Rivers Indoor Bowls Club's men produced their best ever performance in the league to book their place in this season's play-offs when they defeated bottom-of-the-table Stour Vale by the huge margin of 80 shots.
Going into the final game in their section needing six points to be certain of qualifying, they produced a superb all-round team effort to gain maximum points.
The two away rinks achieved a combined score of 70 shots for and just 26 against, while the home team won by an aggregate of 65-29.
The Salisbury outfit must now wait to find out if they finish their section as winners or runners up before they know who their next opponents will be.
