MALMESBURY School's new building at Corn Gastons has had a glowing report from Ofsted inspectors.
The inspectors said that the school's move to the new multi-million pound complex last summer has resolved the problems of split location raised in the last report, published in 1997.
In their report, the inspectors said the move had made an excellent improvement to accommodation and had a positive effect on all aspects of the school's work.
The school received A-level and GCSE results well above the national average last year.
The inspectors commented that teaching and learning was good overall and often very good for older students.
Headteacher Malcolm Trobe said he was very pleased with the report.
"Overall we are very pleased with it in that they recognised many positive aspects of the school," he said.
"They did recognise just how much hard work was put in and how well we have done to make progress at the same time as moving to the new building.
"We can't rest on our laurels; we will continue to work very hard to achieve the best results for all the students."
The chairman of the governors, Keith Sharp, shared Mr Trobe's views, saying the report confirmed the confidence the governors had in the head and staff.
