SWINDON MINORS LEAGUE: FAIRFORD continue to look ominously good in the under 11s Blue Division after dismantling Marlborough Youth on their travels.

The Gloucestershire side ran out easy 10-0 winners to remain top of the table.

Lydiard Youth are still in the hunt following their 4-3 win at Liden Community and Ferndale Pumas still have an outside chance of mounting a challenge following a 3-2 win over Ramsbury, with Grant (2) and Page on target.

Swindon Badgers enjoyed a fine 4-1 win over Wroughton, with Butcher (2), Merchant and Tallentyne doing the damage and Old Town picked up another win, 2-1 at Stratton Juniors.

Wootton Bassett and Lydiard Boys continue to fight it out at the top of the White Division.

Bassett were 3-1 winners over Ferndale Tigers thanks largely to Swan's double.

Lydiard were 2-1 winners at Purton courtesy of goals from Atken and Brown.

Shaw defeated Shrivenham 7-1 and Blunsdon Colts triumphed 1-0 in a close tussle at Malmesbury.

CHAMPIONS-elect Eastville Boys continue to look unbeatable at the top of Division One after winning 5-1 at lowly Shaw.

Westlea's continued pursuit of second spot was boosted by a 5-0 win at Shrivenham.

Surprise of the day saw Lydiard without a point from their last five games beat highly-rated Croft 3-2.

Minturn had fired Croft ahead but David Coleman levelled after good work from Marcus Fylan-Smith.

Steven Cresswell added a brilliant individual goal before Fylan-Smith created a second for the same player.

Croft netted a late consolation but Lydiard held on for the win.

Wootton Bassett staged a stunning rally at Ballards Ash to earn a point against Brunel Boys in Division 2.

Bassett trailed 5-1 at half-time but roared back in the second half to draw 5-5.

Top scorer Wade Dixon hit two, with Liam Griffin also bagging a brace and Dane Tregoning adding a single for Bassett.

Under 13s

STRATTON Juniors ensured a tense finish in the Division One title race following a 2-1 win at former championship rivals Westbrook.

Glover and Guilder scored the crucial Stratton goals.

Under 14s

SHAW made giant strides towards the title with a 7-2 win at struggling Robins.

Liden Community suffered a very rare defeat, losing 1-0 at home to Stratton Juniors for whom Cowley netted.

Wootton Bassett beat Gunners Boys 4-3 and North Swindon triumphed 13-2 against Blunsdon, Harding and Rouse hitting four apiece.

But they were all upstaged by Brunel Boys, who were 16-1 winners against bottom club Dunbar Westside.

Law stole the show with eight goals, while Caddon chipped in with four.

Under 16s

EASTVILLE Boys continued their unbeaten run in style, winning 8-1 at Highworth.

Goals from Gill (5), McGatey, Bryant and Bradshaw made sure that all three points went to Eastville who maintain their push for league honours.

Eastville's closest rivals Purton had their match at Eldene postponed.

Mannington are still chasing, thanks to a 5-0 triumph at Haydon Wick, while Liden Pumas drew 0-0 with Ferndale Rodbourne and Croft beat Blunsdon 5-3.
