BUDDING drummer Kieron Clifford has finally found someone to teach him how to play his bongo.
Kieron, eight, of Marlborough, was bought the drum by his mother, Dawn Stagg, as a Christmas present and now plays it every day.
He has taught himself some of the basic jungle beats that bongo drums were originally designed for, but was looking for a drumming club to take his natural talent further.
The Gazette obliged by putting the family in touch with the Kaya drumming group based at the Natural Healing Centre in Kingsbury Street in Marlborough.
Mrs Stagg said: "They seem to be just was Kieron was looking for and they are planning to set up a club to teach children to go further with the drums."
Kieron asked his mother to buy him a bongo after seeing them played at the Lammas harvest gathering at the Avebury stone circles last August.
Mrs Stagg bought Kieron, who goes to St Peter's School in Marlborough, a bongo drum for Christmas.
She said he would play the drums all the time if he could. "He has a natural rhythm but needs some help to develop it," she added.
