AGE Concern in Swindon is trying to encourage older people to use computers.
The charity is holding a coffee morning for older people combined with an introduction to the fun of using computers.
The event is being arranged with the help of Swindon College and support of landlords, James Butcher Housing Association.
Joe Osorio, director of Age Concern in Swindon, said: "Many older people do use computers but many more are either a bit nervous or simply do not get to the centres and classes in Swindon to learn about them.
"Our programme introduces people to the possibilities on their home ground, and then gives them the confidence to do more if they want to."
The event, which is open to residents living in or near Brain Court, Bunce Road in Stratton, is on Friday, March 14 at 10.30am.
