A HANDFUL of places on a youth exchange to Germany are still available.
The 12-day trip has been organised by two young people from Moredon youth club and 70 per cent of the travel costs will be met by the British Council, a government body which aims to connect people worldwide through education opportunities.
The theme of the visit is about encouraging international friendship and it involves trips to theme parks and bowling and a series of workshops.
The organisers are two forklift drivers from Moredon: James Downey, 23 and Ian Glass, 24.
Mr Downey and Mr Glass have been to Germany six times and have been involved in the youth club since 1990. The trip has been organised in conjunction with a youth club in Harsun, Germany.
Mr Downey said his trips to Germany had changed a lot of his attitudes.
"None of the stereotypes are true, the Germans are just like us really," he said.
The trip is from April 12 24 and costs £150 including all travel, accommodation and food.
