TWO men described by police as "evil, greedy deceivers" are being hunted after they tried to con an elderly Harnham man into forking out an "extortionate" amount of money to do some hedge trimming.
Police say the two men were both wearing yellow reflective jackets and both spoke with Irish accents when they called on the man in Essex Square.
It is believed they left empty-handed but police do know they were driving a white, N-registered Ford Transit panel van.
The two men are aged 30 to 40 and police would like to know from anyone who might have seen them in the Harnham area on Monday morning, or from anyone who received a doorstep call from two men answering their descriptions.
