AS a disabled patient with Chippenham's Marshfield Road Surgery I was shocked to learn of its threatened closure.
The latest Government report emphasises the crucial role of the GP at the sharp end of the NHS. To force a surgery to close, particularly one with such an excellent reputation, must be a last resort.
Will the PCT confirm it has explored every avenue and initiated efforts to settle the issue? My health, and that of fellow patients, is now being adversely affected.
In an area short of GPs what are we going to do?
Dr Williams and his staff have a right to expect the high level of support from their administrators that they give to their patients.
Action to avert closure is now urgently needed.
