A NEW engineering and technology consultancy has been launched in Corsham.
Hartham Technology Ltd has been opened at Hartham Park by a team of seven young graduates from the University of Bath.
The new firm started life as MantaTEC, based at the university, but its rapid success has led to the need for new prestigious offices at the park.
The team only graduated in June 2002 but have already achieved high standards and aim to reach even further.
During their last 18 months at university they put together a business model while also working on the design and manufacture of a highly competitive single-seat racing car.
Hartham Technology's ethos was created by working with the university, providing them with a platform from which they were able to build up good contacts with major technical partners.
Using the latest 3D CAD and analysis tools combined with TRIZ innovation techniques the company offers its clients new ideas and alternative thinking to enable clients to maintain a competitive edge.
Hartham Technology is a multi-disciplinary engineering and design consultancy, offering a range of expertise developed from working within the motor sport, aerospace, automotive and defence industries.
This month the firm has announced the launch of an interactive manual specifically designed and created for Lynx Technic, a Bath-based company that is one of the world leaders in the design and production of packaging and machinery and handling systems.
Using 3D CAD and HTML programming, the interactive manual has been designed to provide easy maintenance and servicing of Lynx Technic machinery.
All future machines in the Lynx Technic range will be available with a Hartham Technology-designed interactive manual.
The company is also working on a major international motor sports project.
This project, due to take 18 months, involves technical partners from the UK's leading motor sports engineering companies and should establish Hartham Technology as a major player in worldwide race car engineering.
