DETECTIVES working on an anti-paedophile internet sting have arrested 50 people countywide on suspicion of downloading child porn from a US website.
The number of arrests reached the latest landmark earlier this week and Wiltshire detectives warned there is more to come.
To date 51 warrants have been issued for suspects wanted under Operation Ore a crackdown on internet paedophilia sparked off by an FBI breakthrough last year. One suspect is believed to be out of the country.
Five people have appeared in magistrates' courts in Swindon and Salisbury in connection with the operation in Wiltshire.
Unemployed David Crichton, 48, of Fell Road, Westbury appeared at an initial court hearing last month but denied 12 counts of downloading child porn. He has been released on conditional bail until April 16.
