VAUXHALL has unveiled three world premieres at the Geneva Motor Show this week.

The Signum, already seen as a concept vehicle, is about to make its production debut, while the uncompromising roadster the VX220 Turbo, is about to be released.

The third new model is the three-door GTC Genve, characterised by a low silhouette, curved roof and tapered body sections.

The new Signum will be launched in the UK this summer, and is being hailed by Vauxhall as a car which will break down the conventional segment barriers. Signum's long wheelbase and stretched body style combines an elegant and modern exterior design with impressive driving dynamics.

Other notable features are its interior space and flexibility combined with high levels of passenger comfort.

The VX220 Turbo is set to go on sale this month in Opel Speedster guise, available for an on the road price of less than £26,000.

The figures speak for themselves: a 200hp turbo engine, 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds, and a top speed of 151 mph.

The GTC (which stands for Gran Turismo Compact) offers special 19in light alloy wheels, three-dimensional jewel headlights and tail-lights and a tinted, transparent roof that stretches from the windscreen to the rear window.

Meanwhile, Vauxhall announced a number of updates for existing models. The all new 2.0 Turbo ECOTEC (175 PS) engine for the Vectra has been unveiled and, coupled with a new six-speed manual gearbox, will be used across the range during the course of the year.

Mini MPV, the Meriva, now offers FlexSpace, enabling users to configure the interior quickly and easily and without removing any seats ensuring maximum passenger comfort or extra storage space.

The five-seater vehicle can be quickly converted into a spacious four, three, or two-seater.
