I must agree with the article by Captain Richard L Nicholson MBE and his concerns regarding protecting the home and personal property, and the numerous occasions he has been burgled (Letters, February 28).
But surely he must be aware of the complaints by these offenders, as to the problems they are having in selling their ill gotten gains: they are not receiving enough cash for their efforts, consequently one is required to leave a day and time when it will be most suitable to be burglared, also a list of items which are of most value, and not to leave any obstruction which could cause personal injury to the offenders, otherwise you may find yourself being faced with criminal proceedings.
But they must be patriotic, after all they took the flag of St George.
