I REGRET that once more I must correct you on the details given about Conigre Parsonage in Then and Now (Wiltshire Times February 28).

As the last surviving tenant (vide your report in last week's issue) I feel I know more about the premises than most.

The tenants were not moved out in l952 that was the year I moved in.

The premises were sold by the council to G Applegate and Sons in 1960 after which, realising they wished vacant possession, we moved out as later did the other tenant.

The premises on the left of the picture are not Diplocks they were Applegates' offices. Diplocks' premises were to the rear with access to the continuation of The Conigre known as Mount Pleasant.

Murphy's law no doubt dictates the error at the foot of the second column.
