ONE of Britain's most wanted criminals will be seeking sanctuary in a Swindon nightclub next week.
Coronation Street killer Richard 'Tricky Dicky' Hillman has been on the run since confessing to a string of cold-blooded murders in the hit soap.
And the financial advisor, who has already bumped off hairdresser Maxine Peacock and his ex-wife while attempting to murder others, including favourite Emily Bishop, will be seeking solace at Mission in Old Town next Friday night the same evening as his character meets a grizzly end.
The police have been hot on the heels of Hillman actor Brian Capron since his nail-biting confession to unsuspecting wife Gail of his crimes.
His disappearance has been the talk of The Street, and for Mission manager, Simon Staley, 32, the timing could not have been better he is hoping the Hillman storyline will attract soap fans to his club.
He said: "When his character started his misdeeds we booked him for a night and bizarrely this coincides with when he is going to be killed. He'll definitely be bringing his crowbar, so come prepared.
"Hopefully this is going to pull in the crowds we could have quite a few stars but at the moment he is the biggest thing in soap operas. It's a big coup all round so we'll be hiding him until the police catch up with his whereabouts."
Brian Capron will be wandering around the Hooper Place nightclub signing autographs, serving behind the bar and playing records.
Almost 20 million fans tuned in to see Richard's sobbing confession to Gail and next week's climax, in which a number of different conclusions have been filmed, is set to attract record-breaking figures for the show.
Sherrie Rowlands, spokeswoman for Swindon-based finance company Nationwide, said: "It's interesting to see that Richard has arrived in Swindon, but thankfully Nationwide don't have any vacancies for financial advisors at the moment. Even if we did have a vacancy, he certainly wouldn't be top of our list.
"When people are looking for a sound financial advisor they need someone who is helpful, friendly and full of good advice Hillman certainly was none of the above."
