A Swindon theatre company has given people a peek behind the scenes of its operations during an open day.
The Sixth Sense Theatre Company invited representatives from regional theatres, councillors, arts councils, youth project co-ordinators and educational authorities to its open day yesterday in the main hall of Swindon College in Regent Circus.
The company, which is based at the college, produces plays, drama workshops and classes to highlight social issues as well as give would-be actors a step up the career ladder.
The plays teach young people about issues such as bullying, teenage pregnancy, drug misuse and prostitution, and there are also creative theatre productions which help the English and drama curriculum.
During the open day, actors from Sixth Sense presented performances giving examples of the company's work.
Staff and actors belonging to the company were also on hand to answer questions.
