NITA Taylor is living proof that you are never too old to knit for charity even at 96.
For more than 20 years Nita, from Swindon, has been knitting blankets for the Prospect Hospice.
She said: "It is good fun and a social way to support a local charity. So I have no intention of giving up."
Nita started knitting after the death of her husband, Ernest. She thinks it is perfect exercise for the hands.
She said: "I play the piano, so like to keep my fingers busy. Knitting is very relaxing and gives me the opportunity to sit down and chat.".
Nita joins a group of around six other women who all meet at Mudge Seager's house in Birch Street to knit.
Mudge, 72, said: "I used to have dozens of people coming round. But Nita is by far our longest-serving knitter. She is fantastic company and has knitted so many blankets that we could not even attempt to count them."
