THE ROLE the anti-globalisation movement could play if war breaks out with Iraq was discussed at a meeting in the Swindon Arts centre last night.
The meeting was addressed by Alex Callinicos, a professor of politics at York University who is also on the steering committee of the European Social Forum.
The debate, was organised by the Socialist Workers' Party.
Professor Calinicos is the author of numerous political books, including Against the Third Way and Socialists and Trade Unions.
The anti-globalisation movement has recently organised several major protests around the world, mainly at economic forums.
